Behind The Scenes

Below you can see some of the production and design notes that went into my projects

My initial pitch for the live TV show project

We didn't use this idea due to how complex it would be to produce in a small studio

My pitch for the Short Film project

We used my idea as it was the most grounded idea and would work the best as a short film

During our short film project we came up with some tricks to get the shots we wanted. Below you can see one of them

When filming the opening scene in the primary school we had to zoom out and bring the camera away from Luke's face. In order to get close to Luke we needed to move a table in front of him, however if we moved the table it would be extremely obvious how we did the shot.

In order to get close to Luke and then pull away whilst zooming, our cinematographer sat on a chair with the camera whilst our director pulled him back on a rolling chair, creating a dolly like effect. Whilst they where being pulled back I pushed the table from being open, so they could get a close up, to being Infront of them so it's in the shot.

During our Live TV Project I wasn't exactly happy with how our show was going and decided to try and fix it

After our full recorded run-through I knew that something had to change so I brainstormed for two days and came up with a slightly more interesting version of the show. At this point I was slightly worried about changing our idea so late, especially after I had created the title sequence and style. Below is a small powerpoint I made briefly listing the problems and what we'll do to fix our idea. I made this then asked the rest of the group to look at it and help me brainstorm where to take it further

It turned out that all of the other groups where in a similar position and we ended up fusing all of our Ideas together

Below are different scripts I've made across all my projects and videos
